A Privacy Policy is Required by Third Party Services
Apart from governing laws, some websites like Apple, Amazon, and Google require website and app owners to post a Privacy Policy agreement if they use any of their services.
Many websites and apps use in-page/in-app advertising by third parties to generate revenue. As these ads also collect user data, third parties require the websites or apps to ask their users’ permission for sharing their personal data. If you are a Google app developer, the Privacy Policy Guidance requires that you inform your users about what data you collect, why you collect it, and what you do with it.
Some of the most popular third party services require website and app owners to post Privacy Policy agreements on their websites. Some of these services include:
- Amazon Affiliates
- ClickBank
- Google Play Store
- Google Analytics
- Google AdSense
- Google AdWords
- Facebook Apps
- Twitter Lead Generation
- Apple’s App Store
Third-party vendors like Google, Facebook, and Amazon require their users (website and app owners) to explicitly inform their users if they’re using advertising features, cookies, or tracking services on their websites/apps in order to deliver better user experiences based on prior browsing behavior. So you see, you can’t do without a privacy policy to get AdSense approval!
In my experience, the very first blog was just for my portfolio. I later felt to monetize it with AdSense, and I got AdSense approval in no time, the blog was old and I met all the requirement already.
Create “Contact Us” Page
The third thing you should consider doing to get AdSense approval is to create an “About Us” Page. The about us page is commonly used by all types of sites and businesses to give readers and customers more insight into who is involved with a given business and exactly what it does. Here Google Adsense and other advertising partners are interested in who is behind the site or app and what they do. This will help AdSense and other advertising companies to find the best ads that suit your site or app. Therefore, an about us page is crucial in getting Google Adsense approval. Just make sure you have an about us page.
Have Some High-Quality Posts ,Create 10-15 Posts
Another top tip to get AdSense approval is to create at least 10 to 15 high-quality posts on your site before applying for Google Adsense. If you want to monetize your site with AdSense, is it not on the content of your site? So if you don’t have any high-quality content that can attract visitors, how can you get AdSense approval? Before you even apply to Google AdSense, you should have 10-15 high-quality posts on your website to make sure Google knows you’re taking it seriously, and that your website has some articles that can be monetized!
Your Website Content Must Not Be In The Restricted List
What am I talking about? Google AdSense has numerous lists of contents that are restricted to getting AdSense approval. Most people probably don’t really think about this restriction issue before they create a website. That is, you need to make sure your content isn’t on the restricted list. If you have a website and your content is on the restricted list, then goodbye to AdSense. That’s just the reality of the situation.
In a nutshell, you can’t have anything sexual, and you can’t have shocking, like killing, terrorism, explosives, guns, tobacco, recreational drugs, the sale of alcohol, online gambling, prescription drugs, and unapproved pharmaceuticals or supplements and get AdSense approval because they are all on the restricted list. This is the link to the restricted lists of content: Google Adsense restricted list.
Don’t Use Images And Other Materials With Copyright
In order to get AdSense approval, do not use copyrighted images. I can’t stress this enough. If you have taken an image directly from Google and put it on your website, never do that again. There are usage rights that protect photographers who work hard to put up those images. They need to be compensated for their work.
If you just go into Google and grab an image and put it up, there’s a good chance Google AdSense will come there, see what you’ve done, and say, “No, we’re not going to approve you because these aren’t even your images.” It’s not a legitimate way of doing things, so make sure you don’t do that. There are a lot of free image sites that you can go and use for free, like Pixabay, Pexels, Unsplash just to mention but a few.
You Need To Be Over 18 Years Old
You need to be an “adult” before you can get AdSense approval. “Adult” here means someone who is at the age of 18 and above. With Google AdSense, you have to be 18 years or older to have an account. When you are filling out an application to join AdSense, they ask you for your birthday. If you are under 18 years old, you are not allowed to get an AdSense account. Because monetizing your content with ads is a form of the business hence minors are not allowed.
That being said, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it. If you’re under 18 years old, and if you are awesome, keep doing what you’re doing; it’s great that you’re starting so early. To fix this, all you need to do is have a parent or legal guardian put their name on it. Just remember that the checks are going to be made out to that person and not you, so make sure it’s someone you trust. As long as that person is willing to cash in for you and help you with that, then you should be fine.
Remove Other Ads When Applying For AdSense
Here’s a little hint—if you keep getting rejected and you’re not sure why make sure you remove any ads you already had on your website. Although Google says within its terms of service that it is 100% fine to use other ad networks in conjunction with Google AdSense, when you are applying, someone is going to review your website. The person or team might be jealous of your existing ads.
When you’re going through the application process, just remove the ads for the three to five days that it takes for Google AdSense approval. Once they approve it, you can go in and put up any other ad network you want as well.
You Must Use a Supported Language
Unfortunately, Google doesn’t support every single language in the world for AdSense. Hence if you use unsupported language, you’ll not get AdSense approval. They want to make sure they’re displaying ads that are readable to the people viewing the ads. Your site can be bilingual with content in an unsupported language, so long as the majority of the content on the site is in a supported language.
The supported languages as of the time of this writing are: You can check the list here. Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Both simplified and traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Marathi, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (both traditional and Latin American), Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
You Need Sufficient Traffic To Your Site
If you don’t have enough traffic, though, you won’t be earning enough money to even cash out. I told you my first application was rejected because I don’t have enough traffic to my blog. Google doesn’t necessarily reject a site for not having enough traffic, though they might.
My experience, so what I did was to create more posts, high quality ones of course and share them through my social media handles. I reapplied and I had AdSense approval just the next day! This is the site you’re reading now! See my formulae below:
Great article = More traffic
More traffic = More clicks on Ads
More clicks on Ads = More earnings per month
More earnings per month = Happy You!
Happy you! = Great articles
